While working on this award-winning project for Fuller Contracting’s new office, Elite AVL worked very closely in collaboration with George Fuller, the owner of Fuller Contracting, and the designer for the new office. After speaking extensively with Fuller, Elite AVL drafted up plans for a ceiling lighting system that diverged from the traditional, one that utilized recessed linear lighting in place of the conventional can lights typical to most office settings, selecting High Output American Lighting LED tape to illuminate every area.
While having received the approval from the owner, the decision certainly opened a few challenges in the initial project stages for Fuller Contracting’s office, as Elite AVL worked intensively with the ceiling drywall crews, ensuring that each cut and design line was flawlessly straight for the linear lighting system.
“This was pivotal to achieving the desired seamless finish and the ‘wow’ factor,” says Elite AVL Owner Justin Dohman. “Ensuring the integration of the linear lighting system also meant that we had to closely coordinate with the electricians, further leading us to incorporate a modern keypad lighting system.”
The result, Dohman says, is an office awash in consistent, high CRI output light, devoid of the usual “hot spots” that can mar the visual experience.
Elite AVL also leveraged Control4 controls, Samsung Frame TVs and Apple TV devices to enable Apple AirPlay for meetings in which Fuller can pull up and modify plans in real-time with Fuller Contracting clients. An Anthem/Paradigm combo adds music to the office, while Luma video surveillance and Qolsys security add protection.
