Shelly Group has announced an official integration with Brilliant NextGen, with the first two Shelly sensors—the Shelly Bluetooth Motion and Shelly Bluetooth Door/Window—along with the Shelly Bluetooth-to-WiFi gateway and Shelly relay lineup, now being fully integrated with the Brilliant platform and available to every Brilliant user.
The integration will also extend to the Shelly relay lineup, allowing Brilliant users to control and automate everything from switches, outlets and appliances to low-voltage devices, pumps, motors and just about any wired electrical item found within the home.
Brilliant users will be able to sync Shelly sensors into their system in two ways: through a direct Bluetooth connection with Brilliant Controls or via the Shelly Bluetooth-to-WiFi gateway.
Once connected, these Shelly sensors provide the Brilliant platform with real-time awareness of motion, entry/exit activity and occupancy throughout the home, allowing for smarter automations and enhanced safety across the Brilliant experience.
The partnership was first previewed alongside the launch of Brilliant Max, Brilliant’s fully managed smart home subscription service, which includes a complimentary Shelly Bluetooth Door/Window Sensor with every subscription
When Are the Shelly Integrations Coming to Brilliant?
The integration is scheduled for release by the end of September. During that timeframe, compatible Shelly sensors will be available for purchase directly through the Brilliant online store with additional devices added as the integration continues to expand.
According to Shelly, today’s announcement is the next step in a growing collaboration between Shelly and Brilliant NextGen. In the months ahead, the two companies plan to broaden their integration with additional sensors and functionality that will further deepen control and optimization across Brilliant homes and systems.
Why Integrators Should Take Notice
Following a last-minute revival in August 2024, Brilliant has since grown its smart home offerings, expanding into the custom install channel through the release of pro-only devices. Shelly itself has also recently expanded its offerings for integrators, opening a pro-install portal following a new product launch at CES 2026.
Through growing expansions at the device and platform level, both manufacturers have been steadily increasing the value of their respective portfolios. Most notably, Shelly’s broad portfolio of relays and sensors have the potential to greatly expand the reach and depth of automations on a platform.
