Onkyo has announced special Anniversary Edition MUSE Series and CREATOR Series models, celebrating the company’s 80th anniversary this year. Featuring rosewood side panels and speaker cabinets reminiscent of classic Onkyo components, the MUSE Y-50 and CREATOR GX30-ARC and GX-10DB anniversary editions aim to capture the warmth, elegance, and nostalgia of vintage Hi-Fi while integrating cutting-edge electronics and high-resolution streaming capabilities.
The MUSE Series 80th Edition Y-50 Network Integrated Amplifier
With the MUSE Series having marked the rebirth of Onkyo in modern times, the new MUSE Y-50 Network Integrated Amplifier Anniversary Edition aims to continue that narrative, blending industrial design with new-age streaming connectivity and performance.
According to Onkyo, the design is inspired by components like the iconic Integra M-588 amplifier, featuring Bordeaux walnut side panels, a rigid aluminum Champaign Gold front panel and a uniquely patterned San Kuzushi ventilated top plate inspired by Japanese culture.
A vibrant 5.46-inch color LCD displays song information, settings, and analog-style VU meters, while the Onkyo Controller app simplifies system management.
Inside, the Muse Y-50 combines advanced streaming compatibility with 250 watts of refined Class D power delivered into 4-ohm speakers through an Axign amplifier with MOS FET output.
Connectivity options include analog RCA, COAX, HDMI, HDMI ARC, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and MM/MC phono inputs, along with support for Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, AirPlay 2, Google Cast, and Qplay. The Y-50 also comes with proprietary room calibration technology developed specifically for the MUSE Series.
The CREATOR Series 80th Anniversary Limited Edition GX-30ARC and GX-10DB Monitors
The design of the new CREATOR GX-30ARC and GX-10DB Powered Monitor Anniversary Limited Edition draws inspiration from the iconic Onkyo D-200 Liverpool monitors introduced in 1987, echoing the era’s compact, high-performance bookshelf speakers.
These new models feature refined proportions, dark silver trim rings, textured black baffles, Bordeaux walnut finishes and black angled stands, powered by Class D amplification and advanced DSP technology. The GX-30ARC and GX-10DB also feature bi-amplification technology that independently powers the tweeter and woofer for improved accuracy, clarity, and low-frequency stability.
The monitors feature Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C, Optical, RCA/Phono, AUX, Subwoofer Pre-Out, and HDMI ARC connectivity on the GX-30ARC, allowing seamless integration into virtually any modern entertainment or creative setup.
Included angled speaker stands are constructed from premium ABS resin with a refined grain texture for enhanced rigidity and reduced resonance compared to conventional materials.
