Naim Audio has revealed the details of its latest Mu-so system, the Mu-so Utopia. Pulling its name from Focal’s flagship Utopia product line, it is the first Naim product to join the line and is being called the company’s most advanced immersive audio system to date, following in the footsteps of the Mu-so Hekla released in November 2025.
A closer look at the Mu-so Utopia
According to Naim, the Mu-so Utopia has been designed in part for premium residential integration, combining HDMI eARC, optical and subwoofer connectivity; advanced DSP and ADAPT room tuning; multiroom capability and compatibility with Control4, Savant and Crestron.
It features 720W of built-in amplification and 15 Focal speaker drivers arranged in a 7.1.2 configuration, being able to support Dolby Atmos surround sound. It’s also capable of synchronizing with up to 32 Focal & Naim streaming devices to support multiroom audio setups, supporting hi-resolution streaming up to 384kHz/32-bit.
The Mu-so Utopia also comes with Naim Audio’s proprietary Sphere technology, which combines beamforming and Crosstalk Cancelation to use the room’s walls and ceilings for a more immersive listening experience.
It features a black aluminum chassis, accentuated by Utopia’s signature red highlight, giving it a distinctive yet understated visual presence.
Why integrators should take note
The Mu-so Utopia continues Naim Audio’s line of Mu-so speaker while leaning more into the features established with the recent Hekla model, making it more of an all-in-one immersive audio system. The immediate appeal of the system is to deliver high-performance audio and home entertainment without the footprint of a traditional component system.
In Naim’s own words, the Mu-so Utopia has been designed as a “true audio hub,” being able to deliver audio through a variety of sources including television and video games, in addition to the usual digital and analog formats.
Pricing and availability
The Mu-so Utopia will be available exclusively through the Focal Powered by Naim network of authorized retailers for $6,500 USD and $8,500 CAD starting January 2027.
