Spring is here (provided you’re not in the northern sections of the world) but regardless of temperature, we’re finally starting to have some nice, long days. Coinciding with that extension of daylight hours, Graber is introducing a comprehensive update to its shades and drapery for Spring 2026 that add new design options for Midimalism, Monochrome and Modern Homestead interiors as well as an expansion of its Zigbee motorized shading platform.
A Look at What’s Coming in Graber’s 2026 Spring Update
At the center of the Graber’s Spring 2026 update is the expansion of Graber’s Somfy-powered Zigbee motorization system into more shades. Bottom-up cellular, pleated and Classic Roman shades, as well as top-down/bottom-up cellular shades are all now available for motorization, according to the company.
The Somfy motors themselves allow the shades to be hooked up to a variety of smart home systems including both consumer- and professional-grade systems, providing simple setup through QR-code pairing. Two-way communication allows for control over shade positioning, as well as battery visibility, with a USB-C charging option.
Graber 2026 Spring Shade Designs Rooted in Modern Trends
Debuting alongside Draper’s expansion of Somfy motorization are new shade designs rooted in popular modern interior design styles. These include:
- Modern Homestead (think simple presentation, natural materials, and heritage-inspired details)
- Midimalism (a go-between for Minimalism and Maximalism designs)
- Monochrome (tone-on-tone palettes that treat rooms like works of art)
Supporting these trends, Graber is introducing tone-on-tone and nature-inspired prints for solar and roller shades, custom colors for wood blinds and shutters, 100% linen Roman and drapery options, patterned sheers and expanded colorways for velvet shades.
The updated roller and solar collections also include new fabrics meant to capture the look of natural fibers, such as hemp and jute, that maintain the same ease-of-use as traditional roller shades.
Alongside this, Graber is expanding options for its soft treatments to include more linens, sheers and velvets that can be layered with other window coverings.
Design Evolution Anticipated Most by Industry to Impact Shading Businesses
In a recent Lighting & Shading survey conducted for CE Pro‘s upcoming Lighting & Shading Deep Dive (releasing in May 2026), responding integrators identified improvements in product design to be one of the most impactful changes in the category when it comes to fueling their lighting and shading business. Given the ability to choose up to three options, 53.3% of respondents identified Design-Driven Technology advancements as an emerging trend within the custom integration channel for businesses to watch.
Nearly all respondents (92.9%) of respondents also reported having roller shades in their core system offering with drapery not far behind garnering 85.7% of responses.
