Since beginning to develop its own TV hardware back in 2023, Roku has made some big strides in building out its product offering, continuing today with its first ever collection of Roku-made OLEDs, slotted neatly into mid-range price tier of OLEDs. Both OLED series are a part of the 2026 Roku Pro line and include the Roku Pro Series OLED TV, released last month, and the Roku Pro Series LX OLED TV, released this week.

Roku Pro OLED and LX OLED features and specs

Baseline, both the OLED and LX OLED are offered in sizes of 55- and 65-inch, with a new design that features an ultra-thin metal bezel and razor thin top-half. Both offer 4K resolution and a wider viewing angle compared to Roku’s QLED offerings, in addition to OLED’s trademark colors and contrast.

Both models support Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and HLG, in addition to having built-in speakers equipped with Dolby Atmos. Additionally, both TVs come pre-equipped with Roku OS and be controlled either via manual remote, or through voice (also located on the remote).

Where the LX OLED breaks away from its compatriot is in overall picture quality and screen performance. Though Roku does not list the exact brightness, the company says that the LX OLED is brighter than the basic OLED model and boasts a broader color range. The LX OLED also supports up to 144Hz (VRR) refresh rates compared to the base OLED’s 120Hz. ALLM and Automatic Game Modehelps further improve performance for gaming setups.

Why integrators should take note

Roku has long been the king of streaming TVs, though for years, the company mainly dabbled in licensing its OS out to other TV manufacturers. Since developing its own hardware, however, the company has been quick to build out its offerings, positioning itself as a solid budget to mid-line contender in the TV space.

Its first lineup of Pro TVs stuck with the more affordable QLED technology. Now, however, the company is proving that it can put out an OLED TV while still maintaining competitive pricing in the space. While integrators will surely continue to use higher-end products for dedicated theater spaces, the new Roku OLEDs hold potential in other areas of home where entertainment is desired, albeit on a perhaps more casual scale.

Given the consistent developments of its product line, it might be worth keeping an eye on to see if a Roku-made outdoor TV is lurking around the corner (though nothing pointing to that direction has been revealed just yet).

Availability

The Roku Pro Series OLED TV is available today in 55-inch and 65-inch sizes, exclusively on Amazon, with an MSRP starting at $999. The Roku Pro Series LX OLED TV is available with an MSRP of $1,299 for the 55-inch model.
