If you thought Klipsch was finished with new releases after its appearance at Audio Advice Live this year, you’d be sorely mistaken, as the company is debuting a new powered monitor while at CEDIA Expo 2026. Denver will mark the global debut of the RP-500PM Powered Monitor, which joins the likes of the RP Reference Series and more in celebration of Klipsch’s 80th anniversary.

The Technology Behind the RP-500PM

The RP-500PM features Klipsch’s new high-density axial Tractrix horn tweeter with upgraded BMC material to reduce resonance, flush-mounted to the cabinet to minimize wave breakup and measurably improve off-axis response for a wider sweet spot.

A 5.25-inch Cerametallic woofer is added to deliver powerful low-frequency performance and deep bass, despite the speaker’s compact design. Built-in amplifiers are matched to each driver to maximize performance, eliminating the need for an external receiver

A dedicated subwoofer output is also included in the event a listener desires more bass performance out of the system.

Connectivity

For connectivity, the RP-500PM includes HDMI ARC, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C, optical, RCA line-level, phono, and 3.5mm auxiliary inputs to support virtually any source, including TVs, turntables, computers, gaming consoles and mobile devices.

The included IR remote provides simple control over volume, play/pause, and input switching.

Finishes

The RP-500PM features the iconic black-and-copper design of Klipsch’s Reference Premiere series, with a floating cloth grille, textured wood-grain cabinet, and copper woofer with matching trim ring. This model is compatible with the KS-28 stand from Klipsch.

Why Integrators Should Take Note

With an included woofer and built-in amplifiers, Klipsch’s latest monitor is built to provide an out-of-the-box stereo system, simplifying installation for integrators, though, additional hookup options allow it to instead play a singular part within a larger system, should a client desire something like a dedicated subwoofer.

Pricing and Availability

The RP-500PM will be available in December (North America) from Klipsch.com and all authorized Klipsch retailers. Pricing for the monitor will be $799.99 MSRP.
