Apex Adds Fully Interactive Online System Demos to Cinema Hub

Using the new online demo feature, integrators can give homeowners a taste of how their new cinema system will run, without even needing to be on site.

Apex Technologies is introducing a new way for integrators to demonstrate and sell the company’s home cinema control products, and attendees to CEDIA Expo 2026 will be the first to get a hands-on look at the feature. The latest enhancement to the Apex Cinema Hub, Powered by Control Envy, is a shareable, fully interactive online demonstration platform.

The new browser-based demo puts a fully functional virtual system directly into the hands of prospective customers. Using a smartphone or tablet, clients can experience firsthand how to use the Apex Cinema Hub, Powered by Control Envy, before a home cinema system is ever installed, allowing them to use the user interface to control projectors, processors, lighting, content sources, and video playback together.

Because the experience is browser-based and shareable, the integrator and homeowner do not need to be in the same location, either. A dealer can provide a client access to the demo via a QR code, allowing them to explore it independently or walk through the system together remotely.

Why Integrators Should Take Note

According to Apex, the new capability addresses a longstanding challenge for the custom integration industry: giving homeowners an authentic preview of their future control experience during the sales and design process.

“For years, our industry has relied primarily on screenshots and videos to show customers what a control system will be like to use, but that isn’t the same as actually experiencing it,” says Ryan Donaher, owner of Apex Technologies.

This new development comes as more companies are building solutions aimed at strengthening how integrators are able to convey value and experience to homeowners and prospective building partners at earlier stages of the design and build process, as shown in the latest news from Quantum Media Systems as well as Nightscaping.

Demoing the New Apex Cinema Hub

The new Apex Cinema Hub demo will be featured at Apex Technologies Booth 4415 during CEDIA Expo 2026. New enhancements to the Apex Power Hub will also be on display including Secure Shareable Web Proxy technology for encrypted remote access to supported device interfaces, expanded network discovery and hardware support (which now includes open integration with intelligent PDUs from Middle Atlantic, BlueBOLT, SurgeX, and Snap One, as well as managed network switches from Ruckus, Cisco, Ubiquiti, and Netgear) and enhanced remote monitoring and diagnostics.
