Quantum Media Systems (QMS) has announced it will be returning to CEDIA Expo 2026 with the new XDR5-8K, its next-generation video wall system purpose-built for luxury residential environments. CEDIA Expo attendees can experience the XDR5-8K in Room 201, where Quantum will present an immersive home cinema demonstration featuring native 8K content delivered by Kaleidescape’s new 8K media player, the Strato K.
Surrounding the visuals will be TPI Aerospace’s Movement immersive audio system, engineered specifically for direct-view LED displays. Together, the company says the technologies will demonstrate how reference-quality image and sound can converge to faithfully reproduce content as filmmakers intended.

A Closer Look at the XDR5-8K
Building on the base of the XDR4-8K showcased last year, the KDR5-8K uses a next-generation processing platform engineered to support multiple simultaneous native 8K video streams without downscaling within fully customizable window layouts.
The XDR5-8K also features a 0.9mm pixel pitch to further enhances detail and close-up viewing, creating what QMS calls “smooth, pin-sharp imagery suited to both dedicated theaters and multipurpose entertainment environments.”
The company also asserts that XDR5-8K delivers studio-reference color accuracy, including precise primary and secondary color reproduction, being Digital Cinema-compliant as it preserves the contrast, color and image fidelity of the original content.
Through the integrated Visual Media Server, custom graphic overlays, interactive widgets and control interfaces can also appear directly on the video wall. The display can therefore serve as both an entertainment centerpiece and an interface for the connected home.
Additionally, sports, gaming, digital art, security feeds, videoconferencing sessions and other content can all be fed into the display from various sources.
Why Integrators Should Take Note
While the XDR5 represents a step up in image quality from the previous model, Quantum Media Systems has also introduced several enhancements meant to make it easier for integrators to position it in the design process while also offering up more installation support.
The XDR5’s integrated visualization platform allows integrators to create renderings of the complete entertainment environment, including the video wall, loudspeakers, lighting, seating and furnishings, making it so integrators can communicate complex design concepts that can ideally accelerate client approvals in the early stages of a project.
Additionally, rather than requiring integrators to coordinate multiple suppliers for engineering, configuration, installation and calibration, Quantum manages the process as a complete turnkey solution that includes factory engineering, custom system configuration and professional calibration and commissioning, along with on-site spare display modules, remote diagnostics and ongoing system support.

CEDIA Expo attendees can experience the XDR5-8K in Room 201. Attendees can also experience Quantum technology at the Kaleidescape Booth 3706, where an 18-foot-wide Quantum LED wall will be on display. Demonstrations will run throughout the show.
