Blackwire’s Latest Driver Lets You Stream Ring Footage from Control4 Touchscreens

The new Ring Video Pro Driver also turns any Ring video or doorbell device into an automation trigger for the Control4 platform.

It’s opening day for the show floor at CEDIA Expo 2026, and Blackwire Designs has a new Control4 Driver coming for Ring Video devices. The new driver introduces native video streaming directly to Control4’s T4 and T5 touchscreens and Core controllers onscreen navigator. All of the Ring Sidewalk sensors are supported with the integration.

Live demos of the drivers will be featured at CEDIA Expo 2026 in Booth 4311.

Funnily enough, this isn’t the first Control4 driver announced at this year’s show, with Somfy announcing one for its Zigbee 3 motors just yesterday.

Key Features of the Ring Video Pro Driver

The new pro driver allows Ring Video devices to integrate directly with Control4 T4 and T5 touchscreens, allowing homeowners to view live Ring video feeds and manage events natively from their wall-mounted interfaces. These feeds can also be displayed directly on the Core controller’s HDMI output allowing automations to display who is at the door.

The driver also turns Ring doorbells and cameras into instant automation triggers within the Control4 OS. Integrators can program lighting scenes, audio alerts, shade movements and more to activate instantly upon motion detection or doorbell presses.

A ton of the driver’s functionalities also extend to Ring Sidewalk sensors including door/window contacts, motion detectors, indoor air quality and flood/freeze sensors directly inside the Control4 environment.

Why Integrators Should Take Note

In addition to expanding the automation, and therefore customization, options for the smart home through Ring devices, the driver has also been purpose-built for fast job-site deployment, eliminating complex driver setup and cutting installation time for field technicians.

Additionally, live video streaming of security cameras across the property has become one of the more sought-after features within home security today, granting integrators a unique and desirable option when selling security systems to clients.

Where to See the Control4 Ring Drivers in Action
