In speaking on the purchase, Almo EVP Dan Smith said the agreement only stands to accelerate many of the initiatives in the company’s pipeline for manufacturers and customers.

Almo Pro AV has announced that One Equity Partners (OEP) has begun the process to purchase its parent company Nexora (having rebranded from DCC Technology back in 2025). Based on the purchasing agreement outlined by the companies, the transition to ownership is expected to be completed by March 2027.

Jamie Koven, Partner, One Equity Partners, had this to say: “Over the past decade Nexora has executed significant transformation projects and acquisitions to create the leading Pro AV and Audio distributor. With our support, we are convinced Nexora can expand its position in both North America and Europe.”

What’s going to happen to Almo Pro AV?

Almo Pro AV took the opportunity to assure its manufacturer partners and customers that the move will not be changing the company’s direction.

“Our vendor partners and customers can continue to count on the connections they have today, combined with the specialized support that sets Almo Pro AV apart,” stated Dan Smith, Executive Vice President, Almo Pro AV. “With OEP’s investment and experience growing technology and distribution businesses, we now have a much larger platform to build on our strengths and create even greater value for our partners.”

The company also notes that the purchase agreement will give Nexora a greater opportunity to connect manufacturers and customers across all of its businesses thanks to a larger investment in technology and growth.

According to a Nexora press release, Nexora currently generates more than $3B in annual revenue, holding relationships with more than 30,000 partners. It operates through local trading brands, including Almo, Azenn Connect, CapTech, COMM-TEC, Hammer and JAM, all of which have leadership positions in their respective markets.

‘Accelerating’ where Almo Pro AV is already heading

Smith went on to note that the agreement supports much of what was already in the planned pipeline for Almo Pro AV.

To quote Smith: “We’re launching a more powerful website and improving bid registration and freight tools to give customers faster access to information and free up our sales teams to focus on relationships. For manufacturers, our expanded digital capabilities will help connect their products with more customers.”

Next steps for Nexora following the OEP purchase

Nexora will continue to be led by its existing management team, ensuring continuity of leadership and execution. The parent has also stated it will maintain its strategy to acquire and accelerate specialist local trading brands to deliver progressive technology which enriches lives.

Commenting on the announcement, Clive Fitzharris, Chief Executive Officer of Nexora, said: “Today marks an exciting next chapter for Nexora. As our business continues to deliver strong growth, One Equity Partners are a partner who share our vision and ambition to accelerate the next phase of our strategy and growth.
