Every year it is a privilege and a sincere challenge to judge the CE Pro Home of the Year awards. As representatives of the best that the industry has to offer, sorting out the best from the list of applicants is no small feat, and the 2026 Home of the Year Award winners represent some truly innovative work that is being done at the bleeding edge of the industry. But after much deliberation from our panel of judges, the results are here at last.
In a show of where the industry is most focused nowadays, the Lighting & Shading as well as Design + Tech categories were some of the most competitive we’ve seen yet. Of course, Best Smart Home Project Under $1M and Best Home Theater Over $100,000 continued to be a contested battleground for applicants.
As per usual, entries were judged based on their ability to overcome challenges and reconcile constraints as well as their individual uniqueness, scope and design when compared to peers. In short, the winners of the Home of the Year Awards serve as, in our opinion, a mileage marker for how far the industry has come over the years.
