Sonance Unveils James Natural Collection, an On-Wall Speaker Line Built to Match Samsung Frame TVs

Sonance's James Natural Collection brings handcrafted wood on-wall speakers sized to match Samsung Frame TVs.

Sonance has introduced the James by Sonance Natural Collection, a line of on-wall speakers and a matching subwoofer built around wood finishes and sizing designed to align with popular lifestyle televisions. The announcement during CEDIA Expo 2026 expands the James by Sonance product line with hardware the company says is meant to be seen rather than hidden.

Unlike Sonance’s in-wall and in-ceiling lines, which are engineered to disappear into architecture, the Natural Collection is positioned as visible, room-facing audio. The speakers are handcrafted in Minden, Nevada, and are offered in five finishes: Modern Brown and Modern Teak in genuine wood veneer, and Modern White, Black, and Sand Gold in painted wood.

Sized to match lifestyle TVs

A central feature of the launch is dimensional alignment with 2026 Samsung Frame TVs in 55, 65, 75, and 85-inch sizes. The collection comes in two orientations — Horizontal Thin-Line (HTL) and Vertical Thin-Line (VTL) — with HTL models matching display width for a soundbar-style band beneath the screen, and VTL models matching display height for a flanking, vertical placement. Both orientations are also available in a minimum-dimension footprint (19.75 inches for the NC3, 23.25 inches for the NC5QT) for installations that don’t require display matching.

Two speaker tiers, plus a subwoofer

The line includes two performance tiers. The NC3 uses a 3.5-inch shallow-depth thin-line waveguide driver with an aluminum tweeter for lower-profile applications, while the NC5QT steps up to a 5.25-inch driver paired with Sonance’s James Quadratech tweeter for larger rooms. Both models measure 2 inches deep. HTL configurations are available as single, 2-channel, and 3-channel soundbar-style options; VTL models are single-channel only.

A companion 10-inch subwoofer, the NC10-SUB, is available across all five finishes and can be wall-mounted, placed on a pedestal, or positioned flat under furniture. Grille options include nine fabric colors as well as a fabric-ready Designer Grille Frame that allows integrators or designers to apply a custom material.

Positioning and availability

“On-wall audio has always been visible, but it has rarely been designed with the room in mind,” said Jason Sloan, Chief Revenue Officer, Residential Sales at Sonance, in the company’s announcement. Sloan said the collection was built to pair premium finishes and materials with sizing that aligns to the displays clients are already specifying.

The James by Sonance Natural Collection is open for preorder to authorized Sonance dealers in the Americas starting today. A global launch is planned for Q1 2027.
