You wouldn’t think a speaker selector would make it on the list of CE Pro’s top products, but the Aton DLA (Dynamic Level Adjustment) is the best distributed audio advance Bryan Levy of Eastside A/V, Renton, Wash., has seen in the last 10 years.

“It’s about time someone made this solution all in one box versus piece-mealing and making it custom with about $1,000 in parts,” he says.

Unlike traditional speaker selectors that use basic impedance correction, the Aton DLA utilizes a logic circuit that actively monitors how many rooms are on (along with their respective volume levels) to deliver maximum available power to each room while protecting the DLA and the amp.

Available in 2, 4 and 6-room configurations ($300–$450 street price), the DLA series can be controlled via RF remote, IR receivers or Aton’s in-wall touch pad.
