StormAudio alongside its partners Seymour-Screen Excellence, Grimani Systems and RowOne Entertainment Seating, is set to debut the first-ever fully digital AES67 Audio-over-IP (AoIP) demonstration at CEDIA Expo 2023.
The French audio company says it will showcase its new ISP Evo 32 AoIP surround sound preamp/processor in Denver, during the annual trade event, which takes place on Sept. 7-9. Available in 20- and 32-channel models, the compact and modular Evo features the same upgradeable platform that StormAudio is known for in the high-performance home theater category. The company notes the Evo supports both AES/EBU (AES3) and AoIP (AES67), allowing for a fully digital connection between the processor and the amplifier or active speaker system.
According to Gary Blouse, sales, vice president, StormAudio, this eliminates unnecessary DAC and ADC conversions, resulting in a sound experience as close to what the movie makers intended as possible. Blouse says StormAudio is setting the bar with Evo as it is the first all-digital immersive sound processor to reach the CEDIA channel.
“In addition to our own booth, StormAudio products will be showcased in six different demos this year. We are thrilled to support great brands such as Quantum, L-Acoustics, Barco, Wisdom Audio, and ProAudio … in the making of their live demos,” says Blouse,
