Definitive Technology has announced the return of its Mythos Series of loudspeakers, which will make their debut at CEDIA 2023 (Booth #3012).
The newly reintroduced product line from Definitive Technology features three on-wall LCR (left, center, right) home theater speakers and three on-wall passive sound bars. The California-based audio company explains the Mythos Series of loudspeakers is designed to match the proportions of 65-inch, 75-inch, and 85-inch class TVs from top manufacturers to enable integrators to create seamless, minimalist installations that complements any home decor.
According to Definitive Technology, a highlight of the series lies in its ultra-slim design, which is made possible by the company’s XTDD (Extra Thin Dynamic Dome) drivers. These advanced drivers enable the speakers to achieve a profile of under two inches, while delivering power, clarity, dynamic range, and extended response.
Definitive Technology emphasizes the symmetrically adjustable extensions built into the speakers provide a seamless appearance alongside or under flat-screen TVs. The product line also carries an IP66 to allow integrators to employ the weather-protected line of loudspeakers in outdoor entertainment systems.
The company notes the Mythos Series is timbre-matched with Definitive Technology’s Dymension Series of tower and center-channel speakers, as well as the forthcoming Dymension CI Series of architectural loudspeakers, which is slated for a quarter one (Q1) 2024 launch. This flexibility the company continues, empowers integrators to create customized audio setups, mixing and matching speakers based on specific project requirements.
Definitive Technology adds the Mythos Series’ blend of performance sound and aesthetics, makes the products applicable for home entertainment spaces and light commercial installations indoors or outdoors.
