Within this streamlined version of the LSX II speakers, the global audio company boasts that homeowners can look forward to the same key technological innovations they expect from the brand at a lower price point.
Part of the LS Wireless Collection, the LSX II LT is made for both newcomers to the brand, as well as existing KEF customers looking to introduce multi room streaming. KEF points out that regardless how homeowner want to consume their favorite audio content, the LSX II LT makes connectivity straightforward. The company says that its W2 Wireless platform complements the speakers by allowing listeners to stream from major music services, such as Spotify, Tidal, Apple Music, and Amazon Music, instantly. The KEF Connect app and Bluetooth feature expand the options even further.
Some of the connectivity options the new KEF powered loudspeaker offers include HDMI ARC, USB-C and optical. KEF emphasizes the LSX II LT only requires a single power cord, as the primary speaker powers the secondary one via the interspeaker cable. KEF says this feature can be helpful when there is limited access to wall outlets.
Complementing the speakers are the KEF Connect app and EQ DSP (Digital Signal Processing) engine that can be used to easily adjust the sound to allow the LSX II LT to integrate into a wealth of home settings. KEF comments that once users download the app, they will be walked through the set-up and the system controls.
Each LSX II LT uses KEF’s 11th generation Uni-Q driver array (much like the company’s recently-released Ci5160RLM-THX and Ci3160RLM-THX architectural speakers), which is the company’s proprietary driver-array technology that disperses sound evenly to help everyone hear the same audio experience from any location within a room.
KEF also emphasizes that every aspect of the LSX II LT has been carefully considered to complement home entertainment experiences. the speakers comes with neat mounting inserts for secure placement on the P1 desk pad and S1 floor stand to support the speaker’s integration into a range of living spaces.
Sold separately, the LSX II LT is compatible with the specially designed C-Link USB-C PD interspeaker cable, made with high tenacity fabric for enhanced durability and protection. The eight meters C-Link cable is said to offer integrators and homeowners five meters more of placement flexibility than the supplied cable to grant greater increased freedom in positioning the speakers according to personal preference.
Additionally, KEF stresses that homeowners can also expect the recognizable contemporary aesthetic of industrial designer Michael Young seen on LSX II speakers. KEF offers the LSX II LT loudspeakers in a choice of graphite gray, stone white and sage green finishes.
