Epson has announced its new Q-Series of 4K 3LCD Laser Projectors. According to the company, as the demand for high-performance video solutions for multipurpose spaces increase, it developed the Q-Series to produce vibrant, accurate images in a wide range of home environments.
Epson boasts that its latest product line is the first 4K 3LCD laser projector lineup of its kind to accommodate a variety of viewing environments with color (IDMS-rated) and white brightness2 (ISO-rated) performance available at price points from $7,999 to $29,999. The QB1000 model delivers 3,300 lumens, while the QL3000 and QL7000 models offer up to 6,000 and 10,000 lumens each respectively.

The QL3000 and QL7000 combine Epson’s proprietary 4K Display Technology with HDR10 and true 3-chip 3LCD thermal-controlled and Double Micro-Lens Array technologies to produce 8.29 million pixels on screens up to 300 inches. When combined with the Epson QZX Picture Processor, Epson notes the Q-Series projectors optimize high-brightness levels, along with color accuracy, and black contrast to faithfully display content the way the director intended it to be seen.
Certified for use with major smart home control systems, from Control4 and Creston, a virtually maintenance-free 20,000-hour laser light source, and the capability to support 4K HDR gaming at up to 120 Hz, the family of Q-Series projectors are said to deliver immersive home fun, high-quality viewing experiences.
Epson continues by stressing the other new Q-Series product, the QB1000 also delivers 8.29 million pixels, and the new projector also provides Epson’s 4K Display Technology with HDR10+ compatibility, which are all powered with the company’s 3-chip 3LCD laser array technologies. Like the other products in the line, the QB1000 also utilizes Epson’s QZX Picture Processor and VRX Cinema Lens.
The Q-Series lens is controlled by a three-axis motorized lens shift to help integrators setup and install the unit without causing image distortion. The 4K projector is also gaming friendly through its ability to produce 120Hz refresh rates, while providing gaming friendly options such as Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), and an input lag below 20ms.
Additionally, the company asserts that unlike LCD walls that can be expensive, difficult to transport and require specialized installation, the Q-Series projectors can be easily integrated into virtually any room, at a fraction of the cost. The QL3000 and QL7000 come as “body only”—without a lens—and they are compatible with the entire family of Epson High Precision Lenses to design a projection-based system for nearly any application.
The Epson QB1000, QL3000 and QL7000 will be demonstrated publicly for the first time at CEDIA Expo 2024 in booth #3107 on Sept. 5-7, 2024 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colo. The QB1000 (SRP $7,999) will be available in September and the QL3000 ($14,999) and QL7000 (SRP $29,999) will be available in October 2024.
