Leading control and automation manufacturer RTI is reigniting its dealer training and support, and to spearhead these efforts, the company has welcomed back Tyler Nelson to the position of national training manager.
On the heels of the release of Integration Designer 11, Nelson is updating the Shakopee, Minn.-based company‘s online training portal, RTIXCEL, with a robust curriculum to give custom installers the resources needed to master Integration Designer and gain a deeper knowledge of the technologies they use every day.
“Training is an essential component that contributes to dealer success, and we want to ensure new dealers hit the ground running from their very first installation,” says Jim Koenig, RTI’s North America sales director Jim Koenig. “Tyler has great experience with the RTI portfolio and knows the challenges and opportunities integrators face daily. In the short time he has been back at the helm Tyler has already made significant improvements to how we deliver our training and impart knowledge our dealers need to deliver exceptional experiences to their clients.”
Nelson will help all new RTI dealers receive the foundational education and knowledge they need to specify, sell, and install RTI products, while creating programs for existing dealers to easily learn new integrations and products and software, including the new Integration Designer 11.
In addition to his previous tenure with RTI, Nelson has held channel and product marketing manager and training leadership positions with 21st Century Distributing and Klipsch Audio.
“I’m incredibly excited to be back at RTI,” says Nelson. “Training has always been at the heart of the RTI dealer support. This year and beyond will continue that strong legacy with training options that cover everything from the basics through to commercial applications and system design best practices so that every dealer can expand their RTI knowledge and proficiency to achieve faster installations that delight their clients.”
