MSE Audio, parent company of SoundTube Entertainment, Soundsphere, dARTS, Phase Technology, Induction Dynamics, SolidDrive, and Rockustics, announces the OS-440, a smart outdoor amplifier and a new line of subwoofers at CEDIA Expo 2018 (Booth #5313).
Jonathan Duran, director of residential sales and marketing, tells CE Pro the OS-440 from MSE Audio is the industry’s first outdoor smart amplifier at CEDIA Expo, Sept. 6-8 in San Diego.
Featuring IP55 certification, the OS-440 is entirely weatherproof, allowing it to live outside. With on-board Bluetooth and Wi-Fi functionality, the OS-440 can wirelessly connect to an existing network and function as a Google Chromecast device, interface with DLNA servers and provide multizone control.
In addition, users have the option to hardwire a source for analog and digital outputs, allowing it to interface with any existing source or system. The OS-440 boasts multi-zone control, as well as voice-controlled audio control by pairing with an Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant-enabled device.
In addition, MSE Audio is now shipping the HV101-LP, HV101-II and HV121-II subwoofers from Phase Technology.
The HV subwoofer line, which includes the HV101-LP, HV101-II and HV121-II, features treated pulp drivers with high-excursion rubber surrounds. Each sub includes onboard DSP smart limiting to monitor and adjust output for dynamic, undistorted bass, along with a gain control, phase switch, variable crossover, L&R inputs and a dedicated LFE input.
The HV101-LP, a “low-profile” subwoofer, boasts a unique design, allowing it to be placed underneath couches, tables and other furniture to hide it within a room. The HV101-LP, along with the entire HV subwoofer line features a 40Hz to 250Hz variable crossover with a 24dB/Octave low pass + LFE and 150 watts of maximum power. Both the HV101-II and HV101-LP retails for $390, while the HV121-II retails for $490.
