During the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest (RMAF), the Vandersteen/Audio Research room conducted an impressive demo that featured Stevie Ray Vaughn on vinyl played back on a system that featured Vandersteen’s Model 7 Loudspeaker (pictured) driven by Audio Research’s upcoming Reference 250 amplifiers and connected via AudioQuest cables.

The system filled a fairly large room with airy and detailed sound. The content was detailed with transient contrasts such as the tonal differences between the sharpness of picked notes and the roundness of hammer-on/pull-off notes in an image with bass and drums serving as rhythmic backdrop.
