At Stanfield, bowling night begins long before the first ball rolls. Elite AV & Lighting blended lanes, media, lighting, and hospitality in a way that creates a uniquely personal entertainment experience at this private bowling casita.
Elite worked alongside builder Providential Custom Homes, Fusion Bowling, Samsung, Hunter Cabinetry, the stone team, and the paint, HVAC and electrical traded to build a finished architectural room around live bowling equipment.
Crowning a private bowling alley with a colossal dv-LED
The room’s signature feature fills the end of the lanes: a 146-inch Samsung IAB 4K direct-view LED wall, delivering theater-scale imagery to everyone in the room. The sound is equally impressive and nearly impossible to spot. Sonance invisible speakers and a concealed dual 10-inch subwoofer deliver impact while preserving clean sightlines.
Installation of the display had to be planned over the finished lanes without risking damage. The wall also needed a clean, dust-free room, recessed power, tested signal paths, ventilation and a prepared hardwood plywood backer to service the massive screen.
Linear lights bring color from the lanes to the countertops
Approximately 430 feet of white and RGBW linear lighting, along with 13 RGBTW downlights, create precise scenes for bowling, socializing, and celebrations.
Above the lanes, geometric ribbons of white and saturated color trace the ceiling, setting the mood, while an illuminated translucent-stone bar serves as a gathering area for guests. The bar itself glows from five RGBW light sheets integrated beneath its surface.
According to Elite, fetting that effect right required careful cross-trade coordination, from a perfectly flat plywood substrate and coordinated stone overhang to diffusion, power, and Control4-controlled lighting.
Control4 powers bowling casita’s extensive infrastructure
Everything runs through a unified Control4 platform. Wall-mounted touchscreens, Halo remotes, and engraved keypads give the family centralized control over scoring displays, media, music, lighting, patio entertainment, networking, security, and access.
A fiber link connects the casita to the main residence. Dedicated switched data connections and direct paths for the scoring system keep the bowling network reliable, while spare conduits make future service simple.
