Logic Integration partnered with Formativ and Bryan Construction to deliver the AV and technology infrastructure for The Hunter, a 293,000-square-foot, 214-unit mixed-use development in Colorado Springs. Designed around the way residents live and work, the project combines more than 28 miles of cabling infrastructure with technology-driven amenities spanning entertainment, collaboration, fitness and outdoor spaces.
Distributing audio for nine distinct amenity spaces
The nine indoor and outdoor amenity spaces all required different installation approaches due to varying environmental acoustics. At the pool deck, for instance Logic placed weatherproof landscape speakers directly into the planter beds surrounding the deck to provide constant coverage without creating loud zones.
The commons area, meanwhile, combines pendant and in-ceiling speakers with a 98-inch display for movies and events. An on-site golf simulator pairs a 4K projector with Full Swing Golf technology to turn a lounge into an on-demand entertainment space.
Technology built around resident workstyles
The Hunter also incorporates technology intended to support hybrid work and collaboration. Zoom rooms use Yealink AI-powered video bars that automatically track the person speaking, allowing residents to participate in calls without manually operating cameras.
A centralized automated platform connects the various spaces, giving property managers control through an app and management dashboard rather than requiring room-by-room switches and remotes.
OvrC remote monitoring provides another layer of oversight, allowing the technology to be managed remotely rather than placing maintenance demands on residents.
Adapting the infrastructure in the field
One significant change that occurred over the course of the project was when ownership issues removed the garage conduit that had been part of the original low-voltage pathway. Logic worked with Bryan Construction to route the cabling directly through the garage structure while maintaining cable protection and code compliance.
The change was managed through a transparent change-order process that kept Formativ and Bryan Construction informed throughout the adjustment, allowing the installation to adapt to changing site conditions without causing a schedule disruption.
The result is a technology infrastructure incorporates connected amenities as part of the baseline multifamily experience with residents receiving equal access to entertainment, wellness and work facilities while property management has a centralized way to oversee the systems behind it.
