Providing integrators with a broad selection of 70-volt amplification products, AudioControl’s new CM Series of amplifiers utilize Gallium Nitride (GaN) semiconductors from GaN Systems.
The Seattle-based manufacturer states that its latest amplifiers employ new circuit designs that helps to power the products, which are available in 4-, 3- and 2-channel, 70-volt Dual Mode versions. AudioControl explains the new CM Series of amplifiers deliver high levels of 70-volt performance to exceed the typical limitations of 70-volt systems that include a lack of clarity and a lack of bottom end.
Some of the applications the amplifiers address include commercial installations such as bars, restaurants, retail outlets and corporate boardrooms. The amps can also be used to provide outdoor audio in large residential projects to ensure balanced, even coverage throughout a property.
AudioControls emphasizes that at the heart of the new CM Series of products is the GaN semiconductors, which were originally used in the avionics, space, satellite and 5G wireless industries.
The West Coast audio company also notes the GaN semiconductors help the amps to produce efficient, high output levels, as well as reduced distortion levels, and low signal-to-noise ratios.
In addition, AudioControl manufactures the amplifiers in the U.S., and the company backs the amps with five-year warranties.
