Sonance James Loudspeaker Small Aperture Series
Sonance has long been synonymous with design on the audio side, with invisible speakers, architectural speakers, landscape speakers and more. The acquisition of James Loudspeaker brought the ability to deliver made-to-order solutions for clients as was that company’s heritage, and the brands offerings complemented each other perfectly in Sonance’s booth. One such offering is Small Aperture series, in which the small speaker grille hides a much-larger footprint chassis installed within the stud bay to help deliver higher performance despite the ultra-low profile. “Small aperture has kind of been the hero product for James for a long time,” Sonance director of marketing Mike Cleary says. “We brought the SA853 as a variation of the small aperture solution earlier this year, the feedback’s been phenomenal, and then we started getting calls saying this thing’s amazing but we may not have 9 inches of depth in the stud bay.” So the company has added a shallower, 5.4-inch depth model (SA853Q-6).
