Yamaha

In years past Yamaha’s residential and commercial groups were presented as separate entities but this year combined to show as more of a one-stop shop, as the company has noticed more of the “resimercial” flavor of job opportunities. There’s not blurring of lines if a resi dealer wants to install the Yamaha Commercial Audio products.

“It’s kind of helping people see us in a different light,” says communications manager Joel Kennedy. “Our customers can think about how they can grow their business with Yamaha and it’s not confined to which sales group or marketing team their working with – so if they’re doing residential stuff they’ve probably skirted into light commercial; now they can use the light commercial stuff for real. … We have a better way to get them what they need now.”

As part of its demo rooms, one was set up to be like a café and highlighted some commercial solutions like the XDA quad-streamer, MA2120 mixer amp and PA2120 power amplifier. An integrator can set up from Yamaha’s products background music with ducking for announcements, selection and controls, and live sound capabilities.
