After years of distributing audio products from luxury loudspeaker brand Ambisonic Systems to a worldwide audience, Origin Acoustics has announced plans to acquire the company. Founded in 2009 by audio pioneer Jeffery Coombs, Ambisonic Systems specializes in high-output, audiophile-quality sound reinforcement loudspeakers.
With over 64 years of experience in designing professional and high-end loudspeakers—specializing in ribbon-line arrays—the company’s engineering team is known for its innovative concepts, breakthrough products and great sounding speakers.Â
“The opportunity to work with Jeff Coombs and his team as their global distributor was an eye-opener for how truly unique their products are. It opened the door for us to add Ambisonic Systems to our portfolio. Our leadership, sales teams and dealers are elated,” says Nick Berry, CEO of Origin Acoustics.
Ambisonic Systems has spent years producing gear for the world’s most exquisite venues and theaters from its factory in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., where it will remain in operation.
The company has taken the best of the lessons learned in that industry, its heritage of designing world-class systems, and distilled it into its wide range of products.
