NEC Unveils its Largest LCD Ever With 82-inch LCD8205

09.15.2008 — NEC Display is rolling out its largest LCD ever — the 82-inch LCD8205.

The LCD8205, an addition to the company's MultiSync 15 Series, can be installed in portrait or landscape orientation.

The LCD8205 can be tiled together for a 4x4 video wall that is 328 inches. The MultiSync 15 Series also includes 32- and 42-inch models.

Other features:
  • A 5,000:1 contrast ratio
  • HD resolution of 1920x1020
  • Viewing angle of 178 degrees
  • Brightness of 600 cd/m2
  • Thermal protection and internal heat sensors
The LCD8205 includes five picture modes and an 8ms response time. Automatic ambient light sensors monitor changing light conditions and automatically alter the brightness level to fit the viewing environment.

Connectivity includes: DVI, HDMI, composite, S-Video, RCA, RS-232 control and more.

The LCD8205, which has an optional protective panel, will ship in December for $54,999.
