08.31.2007 — PRESS RELEASE - CEDIANEWS EXCLUSIVE
Westminster, CO., September 5, 2007 -- Interact-TV. (OTC: ITVI), a leading developer of Linux-based Home Entertainment Servers, today unveils MediaPool with 3.75 Terabytes of high performance media storage expansion for the Telly line of media servers.
This 3.75 Terabytes of storage equates to 750 DVDs or thousands of CDs and recorded programs. MediaPool connects to Interact-TV's award-winning Telly Home Entertainment ServersĀ®, TellyVizion, . Playback Units and all other networked computers via eSata.
At up to 3 Gbps, MediaPool can easily handle any type of digital media, even HD content. MediaPool's advanced cooling technology allows it to handle up to 5 hard drives internally with future storage expansion of up to 5 Terabytes for the most ardent home theater enthusiasts.
MediaPool serves as the main storage and access point for all digital media content (photos, music, movies etc.), the digital media database and all metadata. MediaPool can be configured two ways: optimized for maximum storage or configured using RAID 10 for redundant media storage that is safe and simple to manage.
MediaPool is designed to fit into existing home entertainment centers with a beautifully crafted, sleek chassis and integrated display showing MediaPool storage status. Using MediaPool with Interact-TV's Telly Home Entertainment Servers or TellyVizion Playback Units, consumers can bring up to 750 DVDs or thousands of CDs and recorded programs to the main home theater or any TV in the house to enjoy in High Definition.
"To keep up with today's consumer, we must deliver solutions that let our customers maintain extensive media libraries that they can access from any room in the house," said Ken Fuhrman, CEO of Interact-TV.

It's no longer unusual for people to have hundreds of DVDs and thousands of audio CDs. Using MediaPool, now Telly Servers can handle DVD collections of up to 750 DVDs with ease. In fact, MediaPool has enough performance to handle multiple HD or DVD streams.

If this product - MediaPool - performs or works anything like this company’s previous products - Telly, Tellyvizion etc. - I would not touch it with a 50 foot pole. why? not only the software is garbage, old, clunky and buggy…but also the quality of the video is never better than plain old tv….
