Bringing customized remote controls to new, more accessible price points, the new Control4 Neeo Remote complements the company’s OS 3 control platform.
SnapAV says the latest Control4 product was developed to provide homeowners with a refined home entertainment control experience that leverages the capabilities of its OS 3 smart home platform.
“The modern smart home needs simple interfaces to start a movie, select a playlist or lock a door. Neeo was expertly designed to be beautiful, and with Control4 OS 3, it’s also the easiest way for a family to enjoy entertainment in their homes,” states Charlie Kindel, chief product & technology officer, SnapAV.
“Neeo is a reflection of our obsession for creating the most elegant and simple interfaces for the refined smart home.”
According to Control4, the Neeo remote is a, “sleek, intuitive remote control” that gives homeowners easy access to the things they use the most.
Some of those frequently used technologies include enabling users to watch their favorite streaming video services; accessing their favorite music playlists and activating room-level or whole-house smart home scenes.
The Neeo remote incorporates hard buttons and a touchscreen that enables professional integrators to create customized remotes that are personalized to each client’s household activities.
Control4 Neeo Remote Wraps Smart Home Control in Elegant Industrial Design
A major design element of the Control4 Neeo Remote is its looks. Utilizing Swiss engineering, SnapAV and Control4 emphasize that its new remote is designed to integrate into a variety of home environments.
The remote features a machined aluminum chassis that protects its edge-to-edge touchscreen to not only add a level of elegance to the remote, but this aluminum chassis also provides a high level of durability.
Control4 points out the remote balances in users’ hands, and images and icons that display in the unit’s 3-inch touchscreen facilitate one-touch navigation.

Available in a choice of black or silver finishes, the remote on the back end has been engineered to unify the smart home experience via Control4’s OS 3 platform.
Neeo was built to harness software designed specifically to orchestrate and manage the modern smart home. Control4 Smart Home OS 3 unifies connected devices from major brands, weaves them together for simplicity, and provides a singular voice, touch, and hand-held interface for the whole home. Family members in a Control4 OS 3 powered home have at-a-glance views of virtually every connected device, as well as numerous options for control including voice with Alexa and Google Assistant, the Control4 App, a Control4 Touchscreen, a TV on-screen display and with the Neeo Remote.
Control4 also points out the remote, which carries an MSRP of $600 is capable of controlling more traditional components such as cable and satellite set-top boxes (STBs) Blu-ray Disc players and video game consoles.
“Neeo is as easy to use as it is beautiful. It’s nice to have all our favorite stations just right there on the main screen and easily accessible,” adds Jennifer Reed, beta tester, Control4.
“And, unlike the pile of remotes we’ve accumulated, it’s certainly not an eyesore—it’s actually a piece of technology that I don’t mind lying around for guests to see. I’m sure it will even be a conversation starter for many of our friends and family when they come to visit.”
Additionally, Control4 says it still offers its SR-260 remote control for an MSRP of $330.
