Already a leader in the smart energy category, Savant just announced a new integration with ClimateMaster heat pumps that aims to further cement the brand’s reputation, while expanding its suite into emerging home systems.
“Savant’s best-in-class control experience is a perfect match with ClimateMaster’s geothermal HVAC technology, providing homeowners with an energy efficient climate system that works in concert with Savant’s award-winning energy management solution,” explained Bryce Judd, Chief Revenue Officer at Savant.
“Savant’s smart panel, flexible load management technology, and award-winning app provide consumers with the means to live both comfortably and efficiently.”
What is a Geothermal Heat Pump?
For those unfamiliar with the technology, a geothermal heat pump uses the consistent temperature of the ground to provide home heating or cooling to regulate indoor comfort levels.
During the summer months, the system pulls heat from the home and disperses it into the earth while in the winter, it draws warmth from the ground and pushes it throughout the home. A set of pipes carrying refrigerant acts as the medium through which this heat transfer can occur.
Under the new integration, Savant users with a ClimateMaster heat pump system will be able to leverage Savant’s HVAC scheduler to create climate control routines customized to each zone based on time of day, day of week, or day of the year to suit preferred settings across the seasons.
These capabilities will be available through the Savant app.
Native Cloud Integration Aims to Alleviate Contractor Headaches
According to Savant, contractors are also expected to have an easier go of things thanks to the company’s native cloud integration. Rather than having to work in the Savant control setup, HVAC contractors can configure the heat pump for the residence separately, leaving both the contractor and the integrator to operate independently from one another in a scenario that Savant calls the “best of both worlds for the homeowner.”
