The high-performance home audio company KEF America has announced its participation in Psychic Debris Field, the latest multi-sensory, multi-media installation by Los Angeles-based artist Doug Aitken. Regen Projects is presenting the exhibition that will run through February 22, 2025 at the business’ gallery, which is located at 6750 Santa Monica Boulevard, in Los Angeles.

What Hardware KEF Will Be Providing

KEF will be supplying four Ci5160RLM-THX in-wall loudspeakers that are being used in bespoke wall-mounted cabinets for the left, right, and rear surround speakers. A single KEF Ci200RS-THX speaker provides the center channel, and four KEF Kube 15 MIE subwoofers are cleverly hidden within the exhibit for deep bass support.

KEF recommends that anyone that has ever wanted to hear its speakers in a real-world installation that’s not a typical theater showroom to make it a point to stop by the exhibit to see how the system performs in a commercial type of environment.

More About ‘Psychic Debris Field’

“Aitken sets forth a poly-media composition of artworks that create a narrative which explores the juxtaposition of deep ecological history within our landscape and contemporary habitation,” states Regen Projects. “The artworks create a fever-dream interpretation of our landscape ranging from large-scale sculptures created from urban debris, light and sound installations, botanic artworks, and fabric works that seamlessly combine these mediums.”

“The composition of light and sound become our narrative structure as the sculptures within the space speak to each other in a surreal connectivity,” it concludes.

Both KEF and Regen Projects add the gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Psychic Debris Field exhibit runs through  February 22, 2025.
