MSE Audio brand PhaseTech is launching a new line of custom-length and color Variable Length Soundbars (VLS) designed to be paired with for TVs up to 100 inches.
The new soundbars – the VLS70-LCR for TVs 60 to 70 inches and VLS100-LCR for TVs 75 to 100 inches, are made-to-order three-channel acoustically superb soundbars designed to serve as left, center and right speakers using three sperate speakers in a complete surround system. Both models are now available globally and made to order based on the TV size and brand. PhaseTech recommends pairing them with the P3-35 3-Channel Dolby Digital Amplifier.
The PhaseTech VLS soundbars are also designed to match the video display’s width and color, as both the speaker and grille are customized to the specific television model provided by the ordering integration firm.
The VLS soundbars can be mounted to a TV bracket or directly to the wall.
Key features of these innovative soundbars include a .75-inch silk/synthetic soft dome tweeter, two 3-inch ultra-long throw polypropylene woofers with butyl rubber surrounds, and two 3-inch ultra-long throw polypropylene bass radiators with butyl rubber surrounds. Absolute Phase Crossover networks ensure precise synchronization of speaker drivers. Additionally, the VLS boasts a sleek design with a depth of only 2.875 inches, the company says.
These soundbars feature a nominal impedance of 8Ω, sensitivity of 90 dB @ 2.83V/1M, and a frequency response ranging from 65 Hz to 20 kHz. They are recommended to be powered within the range of 15 – 100 Watts. The enclosures are made of black extruded aluminum and feature a passive radiator design. Inputs are via Euroblock connector, and they come with cloth grilles. Color options include black, with custom colors available.
The dimensions of the soundbars are 6.75 inches high and between 54 and 94 inches, with the largest sound bar, the VLS100-LCR, weighing in at just 24 pounds. The products include a wall mount for easy installation.
According to PhaseTech, the VLS soundbars are largely designed for entertainment in home theater setups, living rooms and home offices. However, the company also markets a conference room use case for the new audio products.
PhaseTech along with other MSE Audio Brands SoundTube, Rockustics, Solid Drive and Focal Point will be showcased at the parent company’s stand at ISE 2024, 7A150, from Jan. 30 through Feb. 2.
