With the demand for high-speed networking continuing to grow in both the residential and light-commercial markets, NETGEAR has announced its new MS305E and MS308E network switches.
The global networking equipment manufacturer points out that its new managed switches replace its unmanaged predecessors, and the small-footprint switches provide an upgrade from 1G to 2.5G to offer a significant boost in network performance.
In a new NETGEAR blog the company says the new MS305E and MS308E managed networked switches better complement homeowners and business owners’ Internet service plans.
“These devices upgrade from a traditional 1G switch to a 2.5G model, providing a significant performance boost, making them especially beneficial for customers who have invested in high-speed internet plans but have yet to upgrade their internal network infrastructure,” NETGEAR states in the recently posted blog. “By eliminating the bottleneck, users can tap into the full potential of their internet connection. This leads to faster large file transfers, better support for multiple high-bandwidth devices operating simultaneously, reduced latency for video conferencing as well as smoother 4K/8K video streaming.”
MS305E and MS308E Network Switches Facilitate Improved Wi-Fi Experiences
The company also notes that in addition to helping the overall speed and efficiency of a network, the new 2.5G compact, managed switches help integrators and their clients maximize the performance of Wi-Fi 6 access points. Looking ahead NETGEAR says that Wi-Fi 7 will provide users higher levels of wireless speed and lower latency levels and the benefits provided by the new managed switches will better support those Wi-Fi 7 attributes.
NETGEAR summarizes the features the MS305E and MS308E managed network switches provide that include:
- Effortless setup with Simple Configuration
