If you’ve been to a CEDIA Expo, then chances are you’ve experienced one of Harman Luxury Audio Group’s amazing JBL Synthesis demos in the hot home theater market segment. Now dealers can design high-performance theater systems that incorporate the latest JBL Synthesis SMA Series Amplifiers, which have begun shipping in North America.
“Designed to elevate home cinema experiences, the new JBL Synthesis SMA Series amplifiers set a new benchmark for power, flexibility, and performance,” says Jim Garrett, senior director, Product Strategy and Planning, Harman Luxury Audio.
“These amplifiers are designed to deliver exceptional power and audio fidelity, making them a perfect fit for any high-end home audio system. They embody our commitment to innovation and home cinema audio expertise.”
SMA Series Amps ‘Core’ of JBL Synthesis Lineup
Employing built-in DSPs for custom loudspeaker tuning and system configuration, the SMA Series models SMA-4750 and SMA-8300 are designed for residential theater applications. They include a CI-focused UI, balanced XLR inputs, and binding post speaker terminals, according to Harman.
Delivering flexible high-power output from a 2RU chassis, the amplifiers are said to be the core of the JBL Synthesis electronics lineup complementing the SDP processors and SCL and SSW loudspeaker systems.
The feature-packed SMA-4750 and SMA-8300 are Class D multichannel DSP amplifiers that cater to high-power and high-channel count systems, Harman says.
With advanced features like bridgeable channels, full input and output Hi-Resolution DSP suite, and Dante / AES67 digital audio networking, the latest JBL Synthesis amps are ideal for powering large LCR, surround, and height channel loudspeakers, as well as subwoofers in immersive audio systems.
