Basalte Fibonacci Touchpads
Belgium-based company Basalte brought its European industrial design flair to Dallas. The company’s popular Sentido is a keep-it-simple touchpad that has been a calling card of Basalte in Europe. It mainly has a lack of labeling on the buttons, however, so integrators in the U.S. had been asking for a solution that had control directives but maintained Basalte’s sleek aesthetics. “With this one, when you approach it, it tells you what it does,” Jason Trombly, regional sales manager, South Florida, says of Basalte’s Fibonacci model, which was being shown in the U.S. for the first time. Similar to the Sentido, one touch leads to activities for lights and shades controls.
