On Nov. 16 a video competition event at ProjectorScreen.com‘s New Jersey headquarters featured eight ultra-short throw (UST) projectors as a means to compare the rapidly growing UST projector market and guide consumers to the best performing options to meet their needs. The winner of the comparison was the Hisense PX3-Pro.
The company says the contenders were all set up side-by-side and paired with eight identical projector screens.
Phil Jones, owner and editor-in-chief at Projector Reviews acted as an independent editorial authority to plan and execute the evaluations with a team of expert judges recruited from the audio/video press.Â
Projectors were entered from manufacturers including Samsung, Epson, Formovie, Hisense, XGIMI and NexiGo.
Elaborating on the winning product, ProjectorScreen.com points out that based on the judge’s observations, the top spot for this year’s competition went to the Hisense PX3-Pro for both the Judge’s Pick and the Point totals.
The Formovie Theater Premium, successor to the previous two year’s winner, the Formovie Theater, took second place for both the Judge’s Pick and Point Totals.
The other projectors in the competition were the Hisense PL2, Formovie Cinema Edge, Epson LS800, XGIMI Aura 2, NexiGo Aurora Pro and the Samsung Premiere 9 LPU9D.
