Klipsch has announced a total re-engineering of its all-weather surface mount speakers with the introduction of its all-new Residential Surface Mount and Professional Surface Mount lines.
The global audio company says these new outdoor loudspeaker products will replace its longstanding AW/CA/CP models, and they will offer new features for improved sound quality and durability.
“We are excited to bring the all-new RSM and PSM Surface Mount speakers to market,” says Trevor Gibson, national sales manager, CI/professional for Klipsch. “Our integrators asked for a great sounding, easy-to-install solution, and we delivered. The Hyperfold port combined with the 1-inch Titanium compression driver delivers impressive coverage at full bandwidth with incredible intelligibility.”
Residential Surface Mount and Professional Surface Mount Features
Klipsch explains the new RSM and PSM lines deliver vastly improved sound performance and dispersion through design elements that include its new Tractrix Hyperfold Port and new compression driver updates, as well as improved durability for outdoor performance now with an IPX6 rating for the product lines. The Professional Surface Mount series offers a choice of multi-tap transformers for 70-volt or 100-volt audio systems with a bypass mode that allows regular 8-ohm operation for installations that do not require a transformer.
In addition, the company points out the Residential Surface Mount and Professional Surface Mount product lines also feature a sleek new industrial design with a smaller footprint than previous generations. Klipsch says that its new outdoor loudspeakers are offered in black and white finishes—with paintable grilles—which the company emphasizes, makes the speakers a reliable choice for a wide range of entertainment installations without sacrificing sound quality, indoors or out.
