UH30 & UE30 Series Join Sharp’s Line of 4K TVs
Sharp's new UE30 and UH30 UltraHD/4K lines of products incorporate the Android TV technology platform that allows users to play Google games such as Final Fantasy, and watch Google Cast that allows people to watch HBO Go, WatchESPN, and listen to Pandora.
Adding to its selection of UltraHD 4K televisions, the Mahwah, N.J.-based electronics company Sharp Electronics announced its AQUOS UE30 and flagship UH30 lines of products.
Sharp says the addition of these lines brings the total of 4K products it offers to nine, ranging in size from 43 inches to 80 inches. The UE30 and UH30 series of products are the first televisions from Sharp to incorporate Google’s Android TV platform to allow users to watch streaming video from providers such as Netflix, YouTube, PBS Kids and Hulu Plus; search for apps, including gaming titles such as Final Fantasy and NBA Jam, and listen to music from services such as Pandora.
To support the picture quality, the 4K TVs incorporate Sharp’s AquoMotion 960 and 480 processing technologies to reduce motion blur during fast-moving sequences and its AquoDimming technology that controls each pixel to provide better black level detail. Sharp states the UH30 series also includes its Spectros technology that is said to provide a 21 percent wider color spectrum than standard LED HDTVs.
In addition, the TVs also incorporate four HDMI inputs that are HDCP 2.2 compliant, as well as three USB ports, Wi-Fi, HEVC h.265, and Sharp’s Revelation Upscaler technology.
The UE30 series includes the $2,100 60-inch Class LC-60UE30U, the $2,900 70-inch inch Class LC-70UE30U and the $5,600 80-inch Class LC-80UE30U. Sharp’s top-of-the-line UH30 series features the THX-certified $3,300 70-inch Class LC-70UH30U and the $6,300 80-inch Class LC-UH30U.
