Frank Sterns, an 18-year veteran of Niles Audio, is leaving the company that called him president since 2005.

According to several Niles dealers, Sterns sent an email saying he would resign effective April 23. Mark Terry takes over as acting president of Niles. Terry was recently hired by Niles’ parent company Linear (a subsidiary of Nortek) to lead a roll-up of Niles, Elan Home Systems and Xantech. That new group is called Linear Audio, Video & Control.

Sterns was only the second president in Niles’  32-year-history, succeeding founder Ivan Zuckerman. He joined the company in 1992 after spending six years at Infinity Systems.

Check out a CE Pro Q&A with Sterns from 2006.

CE Pro wishes him well in his future endeavors.
