Josh.ai Celebrates 7th Birthday with Metallic Chrome Josh Micro

Published: March 24, 2022

Josh.ai, a manufacturer of control interfaces is celebrating its seventh birthday. Founded in 2015, Josh.ai has proven that its technologies are viable, and that voice control and AI specifically, are here to stay.

In celebration of this milestone, the company has introduced a special limited-edition Josh Micro that comes in Metallic Chrome. Available now, the Metallic Chrome Josh Micro was produced in a small batch, and is offered in limited quantities as a promotion to current Josh.ai dealers.

“The excitement and support from our dealers, along with the rest of our professional community, continues reinforcing our commitment to the channel,” says Josh.ai CEO Alex Capecelatro.

“Our partners are recognizing that voice control — when done right — brings an unmatched level of convenience and magic to the smart home experience, which is something that traditional touch interfaces cannot deliver. I’m extremely proud of all that we have accomplished, not just as a manufacturer, but to also be recognized as an innovator among our peers.”

Limited Edition Metallic Chrome Josh Micro Represents Innovation

According to Josh.ai, it has built a brand with mass-market appeal while staying true to professional installers, introducing products that are available only to licensed dealers. To date, the company has processed over 3 million voice commands through its platform.

The first Josh.ai product shipped on a Mac Mini in 2016 and was priced to be specified into high-end luxury projects installed by select dealers. In 2017, Josh.ai launched the Josh Micro, bringing voice control and AI-based home automation to a broader audience within the pro channel.

At the end of 2020, the company introduced thee Josh Nano and Josh Core during its first ever Keynote presentation. By introducing two products that require hard-wired connections and rack based components, Josh.ai doubled down on its commitment to the custom electronics channel.

In 2021, the company launched its collaboration with Lutron to introduce the Josh.ai Ready Wallplate, which combines Lutron Keypads with Josh Nano architectural microphones. The Josh.ai Ready Wallplate delivers the ability to control a variety of home technology with voice, while maintaining tactile control for the most used scenes, accessible at the touch of a button through keypads. For example, clients can push a pre-programmed “Relax” button on their keypad and also access the nearly 16.7 million colors from Ketra, simply by saying what they want.

Josh.ai also boasts that it is the owner of a number of patents for its advanced and exclusive features, such as compound commands and contextual awareness.
