Screen Innovations (SI), the prominent manufacturer of shades and projection screens, has entered 2023 laser-focused on several key initiatives for the custom integration channel. And, in advance of ISE 2023, the company is offering a preview of its new Solo 3 designer projection screen cassette product line alongside what professional reseller can expect from the company this year.
A Sneak Peak at the Refined SI Solo 3 Motorized Screen
The Solo 3 product line from SI introduces a new design-forward option for both indoor and outdoor entertainment, rounding out the company’s portfolio of screen solutions. As SI notes, the clean, sharp lines of the self-contained cassette complement trending contemporary and minimalist home designs.
Where the Solo 3 differs from traditional cassette designs is its manufacturing as a visually flawless unit with no typical demarcations of the end caps. Unites have the option for a powder-coat white, black or painted finish to match the surrounding design/color pattern. Alternatively, when mounted above the ceiling, SI notes the entire cassette can vanish completely within the architecture.
The new Solo 3 replaces the old SI 3 and 5 series, offering cassettes in sizes 375, 575 and 675. With its more design-focused attributes, SI notes the Solo 3 should help integrators appeal to the discerning tastes of clients who want and immersive, dynamic entertainment experience without compromising on the interior or exterior aesthetics of the home.
SI also notes that the Solo 3 is easy to install and easy to program into other aspects of the smart home. The model 575 and 675 cassette utilize a newly intelligent control system known as the Moab (“Mother of All Boards.”) This 485-baed control board enables faster programming of setpoints, rotation, and motor reset; it automates discovery and programming of keypads and remotes; and provides customizable integration with third-party control systems.
The Future of Digital Lighting & Control
As a custom integrator, lighting is in demand. Effective communication, education and showcasing the value proposition of LED light fixtures in conjunction with integrative control systems are the keys to overcoming challenges and closing sales in this specialized market. Join us as we discuss the future of digital lighting and control with David Warfel from Light Can Help You and Patrick Laidlaw and Mark Moody from AiSPIRE. Register Now!The Moab is also easily accessible, along with the internal motor, cabling and screen material, through the Solo 3’s removable fascia. Even while mounted, integrators can quickly access the internal components to program, level the projection fabric and readjust settings.
The Solo 3 also accommodates a full swath of SI screen materials and can even be pre-installed during construction. The 375 Casette can also be powered by a rechargeable lithium battery where running wires can be a hassle, making the Solo 3 line of cassettes a lot more versatile as well.
Operational Improvements Aim to Give SI Dealers Greater Access to Products
As the company strives to make integrators jobs as simple and lucrative as possible, SI has refined and streamlined its procedures policies and resources across all departments, tightened up quality control, and strengthened its sales, service, and support teams to overcome ongoing global supply chain issues and shorten product lead times significantly.
Thanks to these improvements, SI states that integrators and specifiers can better rely on SI to stock and ship the products they need when they need them. As SI notes, no matter what phase a job is in, integrators should have quick and easy access to the right solutions.
“We recognize the hardships integrators have faced and continue to wade through during questionable economic times and have revamped the way we do business to support them with the kinds of solutions and services they need for their businesses to prosper, be it a screen cassette customized for a unique application, assistance selecting the appropriate material, or an expedited shipment of products,” says Screen Innovations CEO Ryan Gustafson.
“We listen to our dealers and pay attention to shifts in the market to evolve and align our strategies appropriately for integrators to grow their commercial and residential businesses in 2023.”
ISE 2023 attendees can witness the design and configuration attributes of Screen Innovations’ Solo 3 at the collaborative Technology Integration Partners exhibit, Stand #2K500. It joins SI’s other design-forward projection screen solutions, including legacy favorites Black Diamond, Zero-G and FlexGlass.
