Once upon a time, Liberty AV was a manufacturer and distributor of wire, cable and related accessories. The company today is still a leader in those categories – fiber optics is a particular area of expertise – but it has evolved into so much more.

“As a residential installer, you have access to dozens of brands all from one source,” says Martin Smith, director of business development for Liberty’s residential group.
At CEDIA Expo 2019, Smith highlighted partnerships with numerous name-brand partners in categories such as fiber optics, AV distribution, structuring wiring, TV mounts and tools … lots and lots of tools.
In fact, Liberty’s expanded lineup of installation supplies is “one of the things that’s really special about this year,” Smith says. “Anything you could possibly need to get a job done you can now get done from one source.”
Not only that, but Liberty will supply all these installation goods with no up-front cost. Through Liberty Inventory Services, dealers can stock up on Velcro, booties, fasteners, hand tools and other necessities, and only pay for the products when they’re consumed.
“You’re never out of the things that you need,” Smith says. “No more expensive trips to the hardware store.”
Also brand new at CEDIA 2019: the “much-anticipated launch” of Run AV, Liberty’s value-engineered line of cabling that is “competitively priced but … very high quality,” according to Smith.
