Christie Digital has announced its new Griffyn Series 4K35-RGB pure laser projector.
The 3DLP projector is rated to produce up to 36,500 lumens in a form factor that weighs just 179 pounds. Christie Digital states that its new Griffyn Series projector can be used for applications such as live events, projection mapping, theme parks and large-scale venues. Through the commercial projector’s pure laser light engine and 3DLP chipset, Christie emphasizes the unit is capable of operating at volume levels as low as 44dB.
Other benefits of the Christie Digital Griffyn Series 4K35-RGB projector’s pure laser light engine and DLP technologies is its ability to produce more than 98 percent of the wide color gamut Rec. 2020 standard.
Christie points out the projector operates at 200-240 volts AC at full brightness or 100-120 volts at a reduced brightness to provide integrators installation-friendly options in a range of environments.
The company also points out the projector features Christie Twist for warping and blending, and the 4K35-RGB is compatible with its Christie Mystique automated, camera-based alignment and calibration solution to help expedite the setup of multiple projection systems.
In addition, the Griffyn Series 4K35-RGB supports high-frame rate applications via its Mirage and Mirage Pro upgrades to enable 4K at 120Hz or 2K at 480Hz.
