Screen Innovations (SI) has announced several improvements it has made on its KAOS Outdoor Shades, among which include elements from its Zen Outdoor Shades as well as some new Kevlar fabric options for hurricane-force winds. These addition, SI states will help enhance the KAOS products, while extending the maximum size of KAOS from 20 feet to 24 feet.
“Our dealers asked, and we listened,” comments Kim Parker, president of Screen Innovations. “Our dealers loved the Zen installation but wanted the KAOS high-wind benefits, so we combined them both to create the strongest, most installation friendly, robust, outdoor shade system available today.”
Newly Added Kevlar Fabric Designed to Stand Up to Hurricane-Force Winds
In addition to the larger sizes, the KAOS’s hurricane-approved Kevlar fabric options are available, along with high-wind fabrics, and other options such as the choice of a box or pocket cassette enclosure, and a choice colors help homeowners match the shades to their specific environment and décor.
SI also stresses that the lates updates to KAOS Outdoor Shades allow them to be installed in half the time as before. The company notes that with its quick clip tube mounting mechanisms, integrators get a hands-free screen product they can easily carry up a ladder. Unlike all other high-wind shading systems SI continues, the V-Screen wheel system uses Teflon-coated constant force springs that allows for more play during installation, while maintaining a much tighter screen in windy conditions, unlike magnetic tension systems.Â
When used with the all-new SI Outdoor Motors, KAOS is now compatible with the Bond and the SI ecosystems to provide a more diverse array of control options through SI motors. The newly updated KAOS line of products also provides homeowners with an elegant, décor-oriented, customizable and architecturally friendly design that provides a natural extension of the home.
