Airthings has announced it has appointed Helge Øien as Chief Financial Officer. At the same time, the company has appointed Hanne Norstrøm-Ness as Senior Vice President of Airthings Consumer and Gudrun Helset as Chief of People and Organization.
“The three new executives have extensive international experience from both the consumer and commercial markets. They will strengthen our ability to deliver on our plans for profitable growth,” says Emma Tryti, who took over as Chief Executive Officer of Airthings on March 4, this year.
“Data-driven operations, customer orientation and increased awareness of our products and solutions will be key as we develop a scalable operating model.”
Helge Øien joins Airthings from Allente Group, where he has served as Group CFO since 2021. Øien has had several positions in the Telenor Group, including CFO of Telenor Myanmar, Vice President M&A and Investor Relations Director. Before joining Telenor, he worked as Nordic OEM business manager for Microsoft in Norway.
“I’m proud to be joining a company with such an important mission and great potential to create value for shareholders and society,” said Øien. “I look forward to working with Airthings’ highly-skilled team, contributing to the company’s path to profitability and further capitalizing on the megatrends within health, smart homes and sustainability.”
Øien will take over as CFO during the second half of 2024, on November 1, at the latest. He succeeds the current interim CFO, Magnus Bekkelund, who will continue as Airthings’ VP of Finance.
Hanne Norstrøm-Ness joins from NoA Consulting, where she has been a partner and strategic adviser specializing in change leadership. Hanne has a strong commercial background, with previous experience from Vipps, Finn, Schibsted, and Opera Software.
Gudrun Helset joins from a position as Chief Operating Officer at Klaveness Digital, where she has led business transformation and growth initiatives. She previously held several leadership positions within finance, strategy, and change management in the Torvald Klaveness Group and DNV GL.
