Those three primary benefits are the keys to success for the new Metra M3B Multi-Source, Multi-Display Coax Based HD Video Distribution System. The unit provides a great way for integrators to compete against any central hardware based matrix system. Each M3B Source unit is capable of selecting any of the available 100 different transmission “IDs” as its output. The display units can select via the included remote (or any programmable remote) from any of the “up to 100” source IDs.
The flexibility for either residential or commercial HD video distribution is clear for custom integrators.
First, by utilizing the existing coax infrastructure that is already in almost every modern home, the new M3B is a simple and straight forward installation. Second, due to its simple non-IP format, the potentially long installation time and other pitfalls associated with a IP installation do not exist. Third, this is a very easy to control product needing only simple IR commands to select the desired source.
