CEDIA is mourning the loss of Randolph “Ponch” Wildman Jr., co-owner of TruMedia and husband of CEDIA Board Chairperson Amanda Wildman. Wildman passed away unexpectedly on June 4 at the age of 45, according to CEDIA and his obituary.

In a statement, CEDIA said the organization and broader industry community are extending their support to Amanda Wildman and the couple’s children.

“A valued member of the CEDIA family, Ponch unexpectedly passed last week at the age of 45,” CEDIA said in its statement. “The entire community joins CEDIA in mourning this unspeakable loss, and sends its support to Amanda and their children Morgan and Tyler.”

According to his obituary, Ponch and Amanda Wildman founded Michigan-based integration firm TruMedia in 2003, building the company together while raising their family. Through TruMedia, Wildman worked with homeowners throughout Michigan and beyond, earning a reputation as a technology professional, problem solver and business owner within the custom integration industry.

Wildman was known for his technical expertise, entrepreneurial spirit and ability to solve complex challenges, per his obituary. He was also deeply involved in youth sports, coaching and mentoring.

Beyond his work in custom integration, Wildman served as head coach of The University of Olivet Clay Target Team beginning in 2025. In his first full season as head coach, the team captured the ACUI Division II Classic All-Around National Championship, marking the university’s first national championship in the sport.

Wildman also served on the board of directors for the Kent County Conservation League, where he helped support community engagement and youth programming.

His obituary describes him as a visionary, mentor, coach and leader who built lasting relationships with clients, colleagues and community members throughout his career.

A GoFundMe campaign has been established to support Amanda Wildman and her family. The fundraiser notes Amanda’s years of service to CEDIA as a volunteer, educator, board member and current board chairperson. According to the fundraiser, proceeds will go directly to Amanda Wildman and her children to help address immediate needs and provide financial stability following the loss.

“Ponch’s passing is a heartbreaking loss, and while no contribution can ease the grief Amanda and her loved ones are experiencing, our support can help provide stability and peace of mind during an unimaginable time,” the fundraiser states.

Visitation services are scheduled for June 11 and June 12 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with a Celebration of Life service planned for June 13 in Ada, Michigan.
