High-performance video processor manufacturer madVR Labs is launching the Envy Core, a new more affordable addition to the company’s Envy lineup of home theater video processors that is smaller than previous models without sacrificing quality.
According to the company, the processor will be available beginning this fall for an introductory price in the U.S. of $4,995 through the end of 2024. It will be officially unveiled at Audio Advice Live in Raleigh, N.C. later this week.
madVR Labs says the Envy Core brings its typical high-end video processing quality in a compact 2U form factor while offering features and performance that exceed other higher-priced competitors. Despite its compact size, the Envy Core leverages an Nvidia 4060 GPU.
The company highlights the budget-friendly price, which makes it available to a broader audience. The Envy Core is designed to be used with “more modestly priced TVs and projectors, media rooms and home theater systems,” the company says.
Another key highlight is its compact size that the company says makes it a good fit for media rooms or home theaters where space is at a premium, or for mounting behind a TV or in a small cabinet.

madVR Offering Additional Envy Core Enhancements at an Aftermarket Markup
For those seeking an even more enhanced experience, the aftermarket Core Premium Package is available directly from madVR Labs at the introductory price of $995. This adds additional features and enhancements and doubles the warranty to four years from the original purchase date of the Envy Core, the company says. This provides lifetime coverage that is fully transferable, including the extended warranty, to a new owner if sold.
The Envy Core also features the same user interface and menu system as the Envy Pro and Extreme, so users will be familiar with those tools.
Envy Core users will receive regular Envy firmware updates with ongoing improvements and new features. Some advanced future features will be available to those with the Core Premium Package and higher editions, while other advanced future features will be exclusive to the Envy Pro and Envy Extreme, according to madVR Labs.
The Envy Core also comes with a two-year warranty on parts and labor, which doubles to four years with the Core Premium Package.
“We are thrilled to introduce the Envy Core, our more affordable Envy model, which makes our innovative video processing technology accessible to a wider audience,” says Richard Litofsky, co-founder & CEO of madVR Labs. “The market has been asking for an affordable option that packs the core functionality from our high-end models, and the Envy Core delivers just that. This launch is a testament to our continual innovation and commitment to providing unparalleled performance and exceptional value to our customers.”
