“Pollyanna” (1960):
My wife and I have recently been trying to see that our children watch some of the classic movies that helped shape our lives. Released long before either my wife or I was born, I remember watching the show in my youth, and I was in need of a refresher. We all enjoyed watching it together, we laughed out loud at times as Mrs. Snow, Mr. Pendergast and, of course, Aunt Polly are all transformed by the overly optimistic Pollyanna. By today’s standards, the show doesn’t have the best picture or sound quality. I’m sure it was among the best quality available back in its day, but regardless, “Pollyanna” should bring a smile to your face and a little hope and joy to the heart.
